Serena Williams Prepares to Pour Out Her ‘Unfiltered Truth’ With Sister Venus Williams After New Announcement

Serena Williams, alongside her sister Venus Williams, has announced a new video podcast on Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

The official announcement was made on Tuesday, June 10, through the ‘X Originals’ handle, confirming their partnership with the platform for the upcoming podcast series.

Williams Sisters Team Up with X Originals for the New Video Podcast

Iconic tennis siblings Venus and Serena Williams are set to launch their video podcast on X this August. In a statement shared on their official account, the duo promised fans “a front-row seat into their playful banter and undeniable bond.”

The podcast will primarily feature the sisters as hosts, engaging in conversations with “power players” through in-depth interviews with “visionaries, creators, and rule-breakers passionate about shattering the status quo.”

During the announcement, Venus and Serena Williams expressed their excitement about their new podcast, saying,

“We’re so excited to be launching our new podcast, a place where we will share our personal stories, have authentic conversations, spotlight important topics, and laugh a lot.”

They added:

“This platform gives us the chance to engage directly with our fans who have supported us throughout our careers, and we’re excited to connect with audiences, old and new, in a way we’ve never done before.”

Serena Williams Promises to Share “Unfiltered Truth” on Their Upcoming Podcast

A day after the official announcement, Serena Williams took to X on June 11 to share the news. In her post, she tagged her sister and wrote:

In response, Venus Williams kept it short and crisp, replying to her sister:

“Oh, I was born ready! @serenawilliams”

Serena Williams’ Other Ventures

After retiring from tennis in 2022, Serena Williams shifted her focus to a range of new ventures alongside her tech entrepreneur husband, Alexis Ohanian. Her interests span from investing in NFL teams to owning shares in women’s soccer teams.

Serena also launched her own podcast titled The GOAT: Serena Williams in August 2021. The 12-episode series is hosted by tennis legends and close friends Zina Garrison and Chanda Rubin, and is available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
