Kevin Hart’s Beloved Burger Chain Abruptly Closes All California Locations

Hart House recently shuttered all California locations less than three years after opening.
The beloved plant-based burger chain, owned by comedian Kevin Hart, was officially closed on Tuesday (April 1), and four Southern California locations saw their last customers, per Daily Mail.
The company, which revealed plans to expand to new cities earlier this year, is no longer in operation and joins a handful of popular fast-food chains that’ve closed their doors in the last couple of years.
The chain thanked customers for helping “make the change we all craved” in an Instagram Post, citing a “new chapter.”
“Thank you. 💚 To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.”
Andy Hooper, founding partner and CEO of Hart House, told Nations Restaurant News of the company’s vision in August 2022 during the grand opening of the first locations.
