Fans are looking back at the Eras Tour, but that includes the not-so-great moments, too.
In particular, one Taylor Swift fan remembered a terrifying moment where her mouth was nearly forced shut. Alongside a video, she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I almost super glued my mouth shut before Nashville N2. We had to call poison control and the hotel brought me olive oil to brush my teeth with. I had glue on my teeth for at least a month.”
As for how she ended up in this predicament, the fan, Molly, admitted it was due to a fashion mishap. She noted that the accident occurred while glueing some rhinestones onto her outfit which wasn’t uncommon for fans to do ahead of their journey to the show.
In the video, Molly used an electric toothbrush, dipping it into olive oil before brushing the glue out of her mouth. “I hate it here,” said an individual in the background — which happens to also be the name of one of Taylor’s songs from The Tortured Poets Department.
She shared a photo of the final look which was a two-piece white outfit. The top was a cropped tube-top with beading and rhinestones across the top seam. She added a similar pair of shorts, replicating the rhinestones across the belt line. Molly wore a chic pair of thigh-high black boots. Molly wore her blonde hair down and flashed a shining smile outside of the stadium. Plus, in true Swiftie fashion, her wrists were adorned with friendship bracelets.
“Holy s**t Molly glad you were ok. When us Swifties joke saying we would die for Taylor we don’t mean it literally,” replied one fan. Another said: “Girlll you are such a mood. I feel like we need a story time on this.”
The Eras tour came to a crushing close on Dec. 8, 2024 as Taylor closed out the iconic run in Vancouver, signing off with a performance of her song Karma during the Midnights set. She gave her dancers emotional hugs as they headed off the stage together. The emotional send off lefts fans in shambles as they watched both in person at a sold out venue and online through fan-run livestreams. The date certainly marked the end of an era… but perhaps the start of start of an age.
